IMPORTANT NOTICE ALL VISA APPLICATIONS MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE EVISA SYSTEM AT www.thaievisa.go.th The new eVisa service with stickerless visas issued by the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulates General in the People’s Republic of China will be put into effect from 27 September 2021 onwards. The new eVisa service will help facilitate visa applicants in the Peoples Republic of China without necessity of appointments to submit their passports and related documents at the Embassy or the Consulates General in person. However if necessary the Consular Officer reserves the right to request any additional documents or request an interview with the applicants whether electronically or in person. Once the visa is approved by the Embassy or the Consulates General a notification letter will be sent to visa applicant automatically by the system. Before traveling the visa applicant is advised to print out the said letter and present it to the Chinese and Thai immigration officials at immigration checkpoints if requested. O nly completed applications with required documents will be processed. The issuance of all types of visas is solely at the discretion of the RTCG Chengdu. The RTCG Chengdu will only process visa applications submitted by Chinese nationals who are resident in Sichuan Province or Chongqing Municipality as shown by the“PLACE OF ISSUE” on your passport Hong Kong Macau or Taiwan residents whose resident permits in the People’s Republic of China were issued in Sichuan Province or Chongqing Municipality NonChinese foreign nationals whose resident permits for the People’s Republic of China wereissued in Sichuan Province or Chongqing Municipality. All payments of visa processing fees are nonrefundable.
For Chinese applicants who intend to stay in Thailand for longer than 90 days or for whom the Royal Thai Consulate General considers necessary your application will be submitted to the relevant authorities of Thailand for examination and approval before the visa is issued. Since we cannot specify how long the relevant authorities require to review each application please plan ahead and submit your application to the RTCG well before your travel to Thailand. 1. NonImmigrant Visa 3.1 NonImmigrant “B” This type of visa is issued to anapplicant who wishes to enter Thailand to conduct business or work 3.2 NonImmigrant “ED” This type of visa is issued to anapplicant who wishes to Thailand to study/ to come on a work study tour orobservation tour/ to participate in a project or seminar/ to attend aconference or training course/ to study as a Buddhist monk 3.3 NonImmigrant “O” Thistype of visa is issued to an applicant who wishes to Thailand for otheractivities such as to stay with family/ to perform duties for the state enterpriseor social welfare organization/ to stay after retirement/ to be a sport coachas required by the Royal Thai Government/ to be a contestant or witness for thejudicial process 3.4 NonImmigrant“IB” This type ofvisa is issued to an applicant who wishes to enter Thailand for investing/working in a BOIregistered company
