Main visa types
 
Type C  Shortstay / Tourist visa
 90 days within 180 days single / double / multiple entry validity up to 5 years
.
 
Type D  Longstay / National visa
 For stays 
longer than 90 days
 study work family reunion etc.. Valid 1 year allows you to apply for a residence permit after entry.
 
Type A  Transit visa
 Maximum 2 days in the international transit area when connecting to a third country.
How to apply
 
Stamped visa
 apply at the nearest Albanian embassy / consulate. Standard processing 
 15 days
 up to 30 in exceptional cases.
 
eVisa
 eligible nationalities can apply online at https//evisa.al and receive an electronic visa before travel.
Basic documents for 
all visa types
 Valid passport  3 months beyond intended stay  2 blank pages
 Completed application form online or embassy form
 One recent passport photo 4.7  3.6 cm
 Proof of accommodation hotel booking or invitation letter
 Proof of sufficient funds bank statements sponsorship letter etc.
 Travel medical insurance covering Albania for the entire stay
 Return or onward ticket
Additional documents by purpose
 Tourist detailed itinerary.
 Business invitation from Albanian company.
 Family visit invitation letter  host’s ID/residence proof.
 Study admission letter  proof of tuition payment or scholarship.
 Work employment contract  work permit approval.
Entry requirements regardless of visa status
 Passport must be valid 
 3 months
 beyond your planned departure date.
 No mandatory vaccinations unless arriving from a yellowfeverrisk country.
If you are not visaexempt start the application 
at least 34 weeks before travel
 to allow for processing and possible additional paperwork.
